This raw ruby crystal resembles nothing more than a wind- and wave-tossed red prize plucked from the sea. Flanking one end of this raw crystal are two faceted amethysts to provide extra sparkle and bring out the purplish-red depths of the main gemstone.
The band is sterling silver covered with a patina of black rhodium. Around the gemstones is a patina of 22-karat yellow gold in a lovely contrast to the gemstones and the black rhodium. The inside surface of the band is flattened for comfort. The outside surface of the band is covered in smooth, barnacle-like protrusions and twists reminiscent of seaweed.
Ruby: 9 x 5 mm. Included, heated. Ruby is a birthstone for July.
Amethysts: 2 mm rounds, faceted. Good colour and flash. Amethyst is a birthstone for February.
