Golden Oak
Golden Oak
This gorgeous free-form pendant is a fossilized wood. The particular wood fossilized here is oak from Washington State. The fossilization itself is unusual as well because the end product is opal! This is, of course, what we call a common opal; that is, it has no play of colour. However, it is a gorgeous piece with lovely golden tones. The rings from the original wood are visible as black lines and the golden-tan portion is semi-translucent.
It is snugly wrapped in one of Lisete's signature wraps, with 18 karat gold-filled square wire. The bail is a generous size for your chain of choice.
The piece measures 35 mm in height and 30 mm in width by 5 mm in depth.
Note: The golden 'eye' at the top right is from a small knot in the wood. It is not an indentation.
