This lovely amethyst and peridot ring is one of our Rulebreaker pieces belonging to the Garden Series. This intensely purple amethyst (13 x 10 mm) has a beautiful, warm glow reaching out from the inside like the sun shining through the petals of a flower. The cabochon cut enhances the warmth and simplicity of the stone, letting its colour dominate. Amethyst is the birthstone for February.
The peridots (eight of them, 3 mm each) are faceted to provide some extra sparkle and contrast with the amethyst. They are the fluttering leaves surrounding this purple 'blossom'. Peridot is the birthstone for August.
The band and setting are fine silver with a patina of black rhodium. The gemstone prongs and the leaf edges also have a patina of 22-karat yellow gold. The band and setting have a lovely bark texture, but the inside of the band if very smooth for a comfortable fit.
