Elegant Pink Sapphire

This dainty beauty in our Timeless Collection cradles a star pink sapphire. Star sapphires are much rarer than the usual sapphire gemstone and also require a more skilled gemcutter to achieve the star effect. This gemstone is quite translucent for a star sapphire, which are often more opaque because of the rutile mineral inside that produces the star effect. 

As the ring moves on your finger, you will see a bright, glowing star effect travelling across the top of the gemstone. The sapphire is prong-set to allow more light inside, causing a lovely pink glow.

The band is sterling silver with patinas of white gold and 22-karat yellow gold.

Pink sapphire: Very good star effect restricted to the top of the gemstone and travelling across the entire surface of the crown. Several rays visible. Size 7 x 5 mm. Heated.
