Pearl of the Sea

This unique pendant is part of our Ocean Series in our Rulebreaker Collection. It is not hard to imagine this natural baroque pearl cradled in coral. Beside its shimmering form lie two sparkling peridots and two glowing tanzanites. All four of these gemstones beautifully represent the greens and blues of the ocean and are a lovely complement to the many colours visible in this excellent pearl.

The term baroque pearl refers to basically any pearl that is not a perfect sphere. In this case, the perfectly natural formation is a large, semi-circular flattened pearl. As with all pearls, the size, quality of the luster, and the shimmer of additional colours on the surface add to the rarity of this organic gemstone. This particular pearl shows the colours gold, palest green, rose, and lavender.

The setting of this piece is sterling silver with a black rhodium patina and prongs tipped with a 22-karat yellow gold patina to bring out the gold tones visible in the pearl.
