Spring Blossom

Spring Blossom is a huge raw chunk of watermelon tourmaline. It is unusually large for a tourmaline and shines in its uncut beauty. The gemstone is a deep green with pink tones on the top, classic colours in a watermelon tourmaline. This rugged-looking stone is 15 x 17 mm and 9 mm in height at its highest point. It is Spring, the potential for green and pink visible before a bud fully blooms.

The band is sterling silver with a white-gold patina to help prevent tarnishing and a 22-karat rose-gold patina on the tips of the prongs to complement the pinkish tones of the tourmaline. The band comprises two strands that are intricately textured to resemble bark. Closer together at the base, the strands become slightly farther apart as they reach the gemstone to provide greater stability. The texture provides a lovely complement to the raw gemstone.
