Treasure Chest

This luscious ring is like a fistful of gemstones pulled from a sunken treasure chest. The combination of raw gemstones and faceted gemstones is a lovely study in contrasts of sharp faceted edges and smoothed raw, organic gemstones. Three small (3 mm rounds) faceted peridots sit on the edges of the setting. A much larger raw peridot (7 x 4 mm) illustrates the look of these gemstones in their natural state. Slightly smaller raw gemstones of citrine and pink sapphire complete this study in contrasts.

The band is sterling silver and is dotted with small beads of silver reminiscent of grains of sand. The prongs and bezel settings are coated with a patina of 22-karat yellow gold. The inside of the band is flattened for greater comfort.
