Rosebud

This glowing Rulebreaker ring is part of the Garden Series. It comprises a gorgeous faceted rose quartz at the centre of myriad gold and black petals. This type of rose quartz has a very distinctive glimmer and glow to it. Slightly less clear than other types of rose quartz due to the inclusion of very fine golden rutile needles, this addition adds luminosity and depth to the gemstone. A number of curling black loops is suggestive of vines surrounding the flower. Four peridots ring the main gemstone, providing a sparkle of pale green suggestive of leaves.

The setting is fine silver with a patina of black rhodium and highlights of 22-karat yellow gold patina to set off the rose quartz. The band itself is formed to suggest twigs and bark and consists of three interconnecting loops to provide great stability and comfort. It also helps prevent sideways slippage of the gemstone on the finger.
