This lovely specimen of BC nephrite jade is set off by a relatively simple sterling silver setting that allows the gemstone to take centre stage. The bail has a faceted white sapphire accent gemstone. The bail opening is ample for most chains with an inner size of 5 x 4 mm.
Nephrite jade is a highly prized gemstone. As with all gemstones, quality varies from piece to piece. In jade, translucency is highly valued as well as a bright colour. This gemstone is a deeper shade of green but is translucent when held against the light.
